This Backdraft Racing RT3 Roadster is finished in gray with over-the-top-stripes over black upholstery and is powered by a 427ci Ford V8 linked with a Tremec T5 five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car rides on a four-wheel independent suspension with coilovers and equipment includes a front valance, LED headlights, quick-jack bumperettes, a tonneau cover, single roll hoop, a hood scoop, side-exit exhaust pipes, racing harnesses, 18″ Halibrand-style wheels, and disc brakes. The current owner purchased the car in 2025. This RT3 Roadster is now offered in Delaware on dealer consignment with a Michigan title describing the vehicle as a 1965 Shelby.

The fiberglass bodywork was repainted in gray with over-the-top stripes following an accident and subsequent repair under prior ownership. Exterior details includes a front valance, a tonneau cover, single roll hoop, a hood scoop, LED headlights, quick-jack bumperettes, a windshield frame-mounted side mirror, wind wings, a LeMans-style fuel filler cap, and side-exit exhaust pipes with perforated heat shields. The leather-wrapped Backdraft Racing steering wheel frames a reverse-sweep 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, oil temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer does not work and total mileage is unknown.

The 427ci Ford V8 features a four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a polished Powermaster alternator, a high-capacity oil pan, MSD ignition components, and an aluminum radiator with an electric cooling fan.

An identification tag affixed to the firewall identifies this car as a Backdraft Roadster that was assembled by TR-Tec in South Africa. The Michigan title carries a Rebuilt Salvage brand and describes the car as a 1965 Shelby using the VIN AE9BMAAH4E1MT1059.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident entry and subsequent salvage branded title issuance.
